Pico Bolívar: Waiting for the Window

This was an attempt to paraglide from Pico Bolívar, Venezuela’s highest peak, over two expeditions. On the first, strong leeward winds made launching impossible. On the second, the team slept three nights at 4,500 meters, waiting through heavy rain and storms for a weather window that never opened. The flight hasn’t happened yet. What we documented instead is the patience, the endurance and the hard decisions that come with high-altitude flying, where the mountain always has the final say.
